Documenting Our Heritage - Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga Photo Competition

Submit your photos of Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga-listed buildings between 15-29 September, then see your photos displayed at Dunedin City Library during Ōtepoti Dunedin Heritage Festival 5-15 October 2023.

Introducing Documenting our Heritage!

Following the competition your photos may be selected for inclusion on the New Zealand Heritage List/Rārangi Kōrero and Dunedin Public Libraries digital collection, Scattered Seeds – He Purapura Marara.

By contributing to the New Zealand Heritage List/Rārangi Kōrero, you're helping to enrich Aotearoa New Zealand's national record of our diverse place-based heritage.

Competition closes: 29 September 2023

Winners announced: 5 October at Heritage Bytes event at Petrie Dish

Judge: Dr Mark McGuire studied fine art, architecture and information science before completing a PhD in media studies. He ran a graphic design studio in Toronto and taught design at the University of Otago. He now spends his time writing and practicing street photography.

Prize (Adult entry): BLUNT umbrella

Prize (Youth entry): A4 print of your photo framed by Gallery De Novo Gallery De Novo Art and Framing
