VISIONS FOR DUNEDIN: DUNEDIN RAILWAY STATION - MATERIAL COMPLEXITIES

This presentation will explain how the 2018 condition survey and ten-year maintenance plan for Dunedin’s Railway Station was reviewed and replanned for the current three year major repair contract.

The philosophy and practice of the material repairs and replacement will be presented, and the challenges discussed.

The project is separated into three stages, and commenced with the northern single storey addition in late 2020, followed by second stage for the northern half of the main building which has just been completed. Work has progressed to the third final stage, which is due for completion in September 2023.
